We are called to test things (people, places, teaching, ect) back in the 80s as a new Christian I got to hear about a few Chinese Christian leaders who made it out of China. Being cut off from the rest of the body for generations the question was asked of them, "What was the single most destructive doctrine to your people?" What they answered was the teaching of the rapture. When the communists arrived in the cities, millions of believers died because they were expecting to be taken before trouble came. This for me became strike one against this theory. Now many people fully believe the Tribulation has started, if it has, then the theory of pre-trib is in the toilet and has already gone down the drain. This leaves a mid-trib, and I am not holding my breath. It is far, far better to be a "prepper" and prepare than to mindlessly pretend everything will be ok

Very articulately presented . Very encouraging. I always felt something was a bit “off” with the whole Rapture thing and the AntiChrist dominating the world after believers escape the seven year tribulation. It seemed odd that believers were so powerless that they couldn’t possibly overcome one big nasty guy, so Jesus has to come and pull us out.

Good job, Deb.
